Someone thinks we're doing it wrong

A recent 'post' on an article on the legal situation regarding street preaching produced an angry response from a member of the public. He (or she) feels offended and suggests that street preaching is the wrong way to go about it.

Street PreacherThe following is a direct copy of the message that was posted with the expletives removed.

I love doing a bit of shopping to the sound of unevolved christian zealots screaming down an amplified microphone, calling shoppers sinners and preaching (strong expletive) in the middle of the street.

I saw two children crying recently for (strong expletive). It is rediculous. I think there should be more stringent laws against this in the UK? Believe what you want, but don't you dare shove it down peoples throats you (strong expletive). (Strong expletive)!

You don't see the RAC man screaming at people with a 250w Marshall amp, calling them traitors for not joining one of the UK's most progressive motoring organisations, that has over 7million members, and the world's most advanced computer systems to deal with roadside assistance calls...NO! He humbly stands there and waits for people to approach him for information, not the other way round. You don't see the British Legion up in peoples faces do you? No because they respect personal space.

Christians, your DOING IT WRONG!

Regards,

Rational people.

The video below contains various scenes of outreach work amongst pre-Christmans shoppers in Glasgow during a Saturday afternoon in the main shopping area of Buchanan Street. The video was taken by Christians Together in December 2008 and the opening scene is perhaps representative of what the above writer is speaking about. The original article produced some responses.
