The Shaking
The late George Dunn passed away in April 2022. At his memorial service, Dr. Jon Zens read out what his friend had written in February 2019.
 MANY years ago the word of the Lord came to me and I was told to prepare because, "Everything that can be shaken will be shaken." Everything? Yes, everything! Over the past twenty years I have watched this great shaking by God. Countries, governments, political systems, religious systems, economic systems, educational systems, and even Christian institutions have and are being shaken. There is a tremendous earthquake in the Spirit.
However, the reason for this shaking is not punishment! It is not judgment! It is sent to test and to reveal the nature and quality of what has been built up. This shaking will reveal what is temporal and what is eternal and cannot be shaken! It reveals not only the inferiority of the building materials used but also the inferiority of human workmanship.
As this shaking intensifies in the days to come, all not built upon the Rock will crumble and fall. Only that built upon the sure foundation of the Lordship of Jesus Christ will remain. Only His reign and His kingdom are eternal.
I prophesy to you today that soon there will be much wailing in the land as all the things of this world in which we have placed our faith and trust begin to fall and come to ruin.
Hopefully, this shaking will bring people to cry out for something real—for something more trustworthy—something that can withstand the shaking and the coming onslaught of events and pernicious evil! That desperation, I believe, is soon to be experienced by those who up til now seem at ease, self-satisfied and even smug! Yes many who call themselves Christians will soon discover that their religious house is built upon the shifting sands of human reason, tradition, ease and comfort, pleasure, sensuality, personal preference, and human leaders |
