'Space Spectacular' - a Halloween alternative

At at time when children are faced with invitations to join in activities which may have a dark spiritual side, an Inverness church is offering an alternative to Halloween which offers lots of fun and fancy dress.

Space spectacular

CityLife Church will be holding an exciting alternative to Halloween on the last Saturday in October.

The church's 'Space Spectacular' is a party for all children aged between 5 and 13, and younger ones are welcome if accompanied by an adult. There will be games, food, and lots of fun. Children are invited to come dressed in a 'space theme' but the organisers request that costumes avoid witches, ghosts or devils.

Pastor Owen Morris extends a warm invitation:

"Kids are encouraged to come in fancy dress, based on the space theme, so rockets, spacemen, stars or anything else out of this world will be welcome.
