A new church for Beauly
A young Christian musician and his dad are looking to establish an additional opportunity for Christians and enquirers in the Beauly area to enjoy fellowship and share the good news of Christ in their local area.
Peter Wilson John Wilson Peter Wilson who is curently studying at the Highland Theological Colleage and his son John Wilson who has a vibrant ministry of sharing the Gospel through his music are heading up a new Christian work in their home village. John and Peter believe the time has come to establish a fellowship in the area to work alongside the other churches in providing for local people in their area a warm and friendly Christian environment to meet.
The father and son team say their aim (God willing) is:
"....to provide a church in Beauly where people of all or no denominational backgrounds can come and praise, worship, find fellowship and faith in a less formal atmosphere than they might encounter at a traditional Sunday morning service. Above all we want the fellowship in Beauly and district to reflect the joy of Christian living."
Having lived in Beauly for seventeen years, Peter has served as an elder in Dingwall Baptist Church and feels that with the appointment of pastor Bill Wilson (no relation) he is now able to pursue other areas of Christian service. He is in no doubt the task ahead will be difficult and says: "We welcome all the help we can get from the Christian community especially in the realm of prayer."
Beauly Christian Fellowship are to meet in Phipps Hall, Beauly with an opening service at 10.30am on Sunday, 7 December, 2008; and anyone who is interested, would like to know more or offer prayer support can contact John or Peter at the Beauly Christian Fellowship website or by email at beaulychurch@gmail.com
Ed footnotes: John is a graduate in music from Napier University in Edinburgh and has been a Christian for four years. He is the co- founder of “aLive Ministry”, a Christian charity that seeks to bring encouragement to believing Christians and evangelise to non- believers through original music and song.
