Back in March 2007, the Gospel folk singer
Alistair MacDonald
suggested to
Tommie Mackay
of
Inverness Christian Youth Centre
that Tommie compose a song for Christmas - a Christmas carol.
In response to the suggestion Tommie - who can often write a song much more quickly - worked for six months on a carol which is now due to be sung by the children of Inverness Central Primary School at a concert of carols in Inverness Cathedral over the festive period.
In an unrelated search for a particular piece of music on YouTube - the video networking web site - Tommie discovered an American who produces cartoon-type graphics. Tommie's new-found friend has now produced an animation as an accompanying overlay to Tommie's composition. Both now sit together on YouTube.
