Highland evangelist for Inverness Gospel Tent Mission
Donald Buchanan
Following the launch evening which gave a foretaste to the Tent Mission planned for Inverness next month, it has been announced that Donald Buchanan - a well-known evangelist throughout the Highlands and Islands and beyond - is to be the guet evangelist/speaker at a series of evening events to be held at the Bught Park event.
Pastor Mervyn Milne, of Perth-based People With A Mission Ministries (PWAMM), who are organising the mission supported by Inverness churches, said, “Donald has a powerful story to tell of how Jesus Christ changed his life dramatically when his business got into difficulty with mounting debts. He swapped a life of no hope and debt for life as an international minister through faith in Jesus Christ. Donald is a colourful character and his talks are told with a Hebridean sincerity and a touch of humour, but with a serious message about how Jesus Christ still transforms lives for the better, setting people free.”
“You don’t have to be a Christian or a church-goer to attend: the entire programme is free of charge and everyone’s welcome.”
The outreach which is to be located in the city's Bught Park is due to run from Wednesday 13 - Sunday 17 June; and includes a full programme of events for children, families, the community, adults and senior citizens.
Free activities are planned for all ages - including a family fun day, a kid’s club, evening rallies and afternoon tea for senior citizens are on offer at the Gospel Tent Mission being held in Inverness from Wednesday 13 June - Sunday 17 June with the support of local churches.
