Shimon Peres: Google, Facebook and Antichrist
According to current reports Israel’s President Shimon Peres sees Google and Facebook as the means to accomplish what the Bible tells us will be the role of the Antichrist in bringing a solution to the turmoil in the Middle East.

A REPORT on HAARETZ news site states: President Shimon Peres called on the West to push leading software and internet companies like Google, Microsoft and Facebook to help Middle Eastern countries reform, and said the recent events in the region were an opportunity for peace.
Speaking to the Spanish Parliament, Peres sees the revolutionary upheavals in the region as being “opportunities for peace.”
In terms of furthering the peace process the Israel’s President said of Google and Facebook that these companies have the means to bring financial help. Calling on large international companies to become involved he is reported as saying: “They can set up modern economic networks based on information and technology nearly anywhere in the world.”
In terms the current political earthquakes, something has to happen; and Peres sees the potential of having ‘democratic’ neighbours as a positive step towards achieving a guarantee of peace.
Meanwhile a previous Jewish civic leader based in Iraq gave his take on the end-time scenario which predicted a false and short-lived peace. But it could be that Peres hasn’t read the book of Daniel. And he may also be unfamiliar with the words of Paul-Henri Spaak, the former Belgian Prime Minister and President of the Consultative Assembly of the Council of Europe who put it this way:
“We do not want another committee. We have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out the economic morass in which we are sinking. Send us such a man and, be he god or the devil, we will receive him.”
At the end of the day, and age, it's all down to who we believe. (Jer 1:12)
