Noel Richards, the very well known Christian musician/songwriter is due to make a 'first visit' to Inverness when he will give a concert at Culduthel Christian Centre.

Inverness-based Alive Ministry is pleased to announce a concert by highly acclaimed worship leader, singer/songwriter Noel Richards. This will be Noels' first visit to Inverness, where he will be performing at Culduthel Christian Centre in May this year. David Maclean from aLive Ministry is delighted that Noel has agreed to this visit and comments :
“One of the visions we had when setting up aLive Ministry was to hold Christian music outreach and worship events across the Highlands, encouraging churches and communities to come together regularly to enjoy a time of fellowship and praise together. I am thrilled that Noel has agreed to play a concert in Inverness, he is a worship leader who has led events all over the world and has over 30 years experience, so I am sure it will be a great evening of worship for folks of all ages!!. I would encourage people to come along and support this event, the success of this one will hopefully lead to many more!”

Noel Richards has been part of the UK Christian music scene for more than 35 years and has written many worship songs. Perhaps the best known of these is ‘All Heaven Declares', which he co-wrote with his wife Tricia. He has also written ‘My lips shall Praise You’ , ‘To Be In Your Presence’ and ‘You Laid Aside Your majesty’. Noel currently has 17 songs that feature in the CCLI top 500, Church Copyright listing. He has played in more than 30 nations and led worship at many events throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.
In January 2000 he played before 66,000 people at the Millennium Stadium, Wales, an event, which was broadcast, live to at least 5 million people in the UK. He was also one of the organisers behind ‘Champion of the World’ at Wembley Stadium in June 1997. This event attracted almost 45,000 people. In July 2006, Noel led an international worship/prayer gathering at the Olympic Stadium, Berlin, Germany that gathered 25,000 participants and attendees from more than 42 nations.
In October 2009, Noel featured on the BBC TV programme “Songs of Praise”, which is viewed by almost 3 million people in the UK. A further programme is scheduled for broadcast on 31st January 2010.
Although Noel carries a vision for stadium worship, he is very much committed to working with local churches and the gatherings they organise. He also seeks to encourage worshippers and songwriters worldwide and to this end has established an online worship community/resource website called Worship Journal. Noel's latest studio album released in November 2008 is entitled 'Heaven's King.
In February 2010, Noel's publisher Kingsway will be releasing a CD entitled “All Heaven Declares – The very best of Noel Richards”.
