Watchman

Watchman is the pseudonym used as a term of convenience to cover the general nature and various sources of these articles - sometimes written by one single person (or another); sometimes as a compilation of a variety of opinions and views gathered from various sources and/or persons.
Additionally, in some cases, the nature of any one article may require it to be totally anonymous so as to protect the identity of the source(s) and/or any persons or subjects to which reference is made.

The anonymous nature of the articles also tends to lessen the extent to which (any) responses are aimed at the writer(s), in ad hominem fashion, rather than addressing the content and the issue.
