Helen Shapiro coming to Invergordon

Helen Shapiro, the former child pop star who grew into a highly respected international adult jazz singer with her own band is due to take part in a Gospel Outreach in Invergordon this month.

In August 1987 Helen became a committed believer in Jesus. Several months of searching the Messianic prophecies in the Old Testament, and seeing their fulfilment in the New Testament, culminated in her being opened to the truth of Jesus as Saviour of the world and the promised Messiah of her own Jewish people.

Helen's most recent outreach in the Highlands was in October 2008 at Dornoch. In April 2007 she appeared at the Culduthel Christian Centre. Prior to that she appeared with her band at Eden Court, Inverness having come out of showbusiness at the end of 2002 following 42 years of touring.
