Men's Conference
A conference in Inverness offers an opportunity for Christian men to come together and get to grips with the issues of being a man in what is often a predominantly female church scene.
A few facts:
- On average in the western church today, you’ll find only 39% of the congregation male. No other main stream religion in the world (Islam, Hinduism or Buddhism) have a gender divide like this
- 1 in 4 married Christian women go to church without their husbands
- 75% of all Christian books, CD’s etc are bought by women
- Fewer than 30% of the boys raised in church will stay in church through their teen years & into their 20’s.
- Guys aged 18-35 in most churches make up less than 5% of the congregation.

Guy’s, it’s time to step up!
The Kings Fellowship, Inverness is running it’s first ever men’s conference designed to stir up passion in guys, to be passionate about Jesus and to be passionate about their family. We don’t want just good men, husbands & fathers but great men, husbands & fathers, we want to set the bar that little bit higher!
We are delighted to have Pastor Hugh Chalk from Mossvale Community Church in Paisley coming to speak. Hugh is a straight talking, passionate guy, husband and father of three boys. As well as being a local Pastor in Paisley he is also the Chaplin to St Mirren Football Club where he works with not only with the young players but also the first team players, management & Directors of the club.
But this weekend is not just for husbands & fathers but for all guys who want a closer relationship with God & want to go deeper & further than ever before.
Dads, we would also encourage you to take your teenage lads as we want/need to be investing into the next generation of men, husbands & fathers.
Guys, it would be great to see you there, don’t worry if you can attend all the sessions just let us know which ones you can!

This will start at 10.30am and last for about an hour with time for questions and answers at the end. Andy Beaton will be taking this with time. Andy works for one of our local banks advising people on investments and financial planning.
Saturday afternoon – 2:00pm it’s a knock out style challenges taken by Maurice Bradley. This will be team building team games where we are encouraging the guys to take their sons and have a laugh with them! Maurice said he can take boys as young as 6. We have deliberately left a decent gap between the end of the morning session and the afternoon to allow folk to get lunch and also so guys can get their boys.
