Women across the Highlands: Day Conference

Women Across The Highlands is an interdenominational one day women’s conference to be held in Inverness in November 2010. With speakers and seminars the conference is aimed at encouraging women in their Christian walk.

Women Across the Highlands1The Women Across the Highland day conference will comprise plenary sessions with speakers interspersed with a range of seminars covering a variety of aspects of Christian living.

The main speaker for the day is Elaine Duncan, Chief Executive of the Scottish Bible Society and Elaine will be speaking on th4e subject of 'Esther..... A Women for Our Time.

The seminars will cover topics including handling stress; outreach; coping with loss; marriage and family matters. The total of eight seminars will be run once during the morning and repeated again in the afternoon and those wishing to attend the conference will be asked to choose four of the seminars in order of preference.

Interspersed with the above activities will be times of praise and also time to browse the various stalls with books, traidcraft and jewellery.


The cost of the Conference is £20 which includes coffee and a buffet lunch.

Elaine DuncanElaine Duncan is the Chief Executive of the 200-year-old Scottish Bible Society and is not only enthusiastic about people having a Bible in their own language, also in helping people understand it and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through it. 

Elaine is originally from Cumbria. She now lives in Glasgow, works in Edinburgh and supports the Scottish rugby team.
