Christians reaching out to Jade Goody
The Christian Messenger which describes itself as "India's Evangelical Newspaper" has called on its readership to pray for Jade Goody who is terminally ill with cancer.
Ms. Goody shot to public attention through her appearance on the reality TV show 'Big Brother', and provoke an outcry through allegedly racial comments against Indian actress Shilpa Shetty.
As a 'Prayer Point' the Indian newspiece requests:
"Pray that Jade Goody will come to know the healing power of Jesus Christ at this juncture in her life. Pray that she will accept Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and turn a new leaf.
Jeremiah 29:12 says: “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.”
Isaiah 53:5 says: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Claim these promises for Jade Goody. Let us try to win a soul for Jesus Christ.
Under a Daily Mail header "Distraught Jade Goody is planning her funeral and preparing her will as she bravely comes to terms with her cancer diagnosis" the related message list of very supportive comments includes a response from one person signing herself 'Johanna' who wrote:

Speaking on Sky TV news, Goody's publicist Max Clifford said that the mother-of-two and soon-to-be bride has said that she wants her boys to "know Jesus". Ms. Goody has said: “I want them to understand that Mummy will be in Heaven watching over them. It’s really important to me now that they learn about Jesus and I want them to be christened so they still feel I’m there for them.”
Ms. Goody and her boyfriend are currently planning to be married as soon as possible. |
