For several years now Ellel Scotland at Blairmore House (near Huntly) has hosted a week-long prayer conference for the nation of Israel. Three Israeli pastors attend bringing news of developments from their country in order the inform the prayers.
In the past there has been a (free) teaching day on the Saturday of the conference, but on this occasion this has not been possible due to building works. However, guests can attend the teaching /briefing meetings in the evenings.
Lindsey Hanekom of Ellel Scotland writes:
As you know the Israel Prayer Conference is due to take place from Tuesday 10th June - 17th June, 2008.
We are delighted to tell you that we are once again opening up the evenings to non-conference guests and thought you may be able to let some interested parties know for us. The cost will remain at £5 per person per evening. Eliyahu Ben-Haim who is one of the visiting speaker comments:
“Let’s remember that all the present troubles are but the “birth pangs” of the coming of the Messiah. And let us be encouraged to have true hope and pray in faith as we read these further words from the prophet Haggai (2:7–9): “ ‘And I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the LORD of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”
While there are many things we believers are called to do in this natural world, they must all derive from a spiritual attitude of listening to God and praying for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
