Sandra Sellmer is a mother and grandmother, and came to Elijah House from Trout Creek, Montana. Sandra ministered in her local church for over 25 years, serving in various capacities as worship leader, women’s Bible study and Sunday School teacher, education department superintendent, deaconess, prayer minister and mentor. Sandra was the featured speaker for many youth and women’s retreats and has facilitated Sunday school teacher training workshops. She also co-owned and operated a family business for 13 years. Marital problems, depression and burnout led Sandra to the Elijah House ministry, where she encountered God’s unconditional love, healing and restoration. Seeing the fruitfulness of the ministry and transformation in her own life, Sandra came back to Elijah House to be trained and equipped so that she could share with others what she had received. Because of her own painful life experiences, Sandra can especially empathize with those suffering from rejection, abandonment and shame, and ministers with gentleness and compassion.
