Christian Lewismand stands for election

A Lewis-born, Stornoway-based businessman is to stand at the forthcoming 2010 General Election. In support of his bid, Murdo Murray has now launched his campaign with an election flier and a new web site.

Murdo MurrayMurdo Murray is an engineering consultant and former Technical Director with Western Isles Council: he stood in the 2007 Scottish elections for the Scottish Christian Party. This time around he is standing as an independent canditate and following a discussion with the SCP leader Rev. George Hargreaves, the SCP has withdrawn its candidate to prevent any confusion.

Mr. Murray has now published a campaign leaflet in which invites to electorate's support and states:

'British politics stands at an important crossroads and the incoming Parliament will define our moral as well as our economic pathway for years to come.'

Further information is available on a new website which has recently been constructed to support Mr. Murray's bid.
