Note: Aviemore is the central resort village/town for the Speyside area which is encompassed within the Cairngorm National Park. It is conveniently located with regard to easy access to the surrounding villages and townships and all the sporting and recreational facilities within the area. The latter includes hiking, climbing, mountain railway, nature-reserve, wild-life park, skiing, sailing and other watersports. Aviemore is well-served with restuarants and hotel facilities. The city of Inverness which is the capital of the Highlands is around 45 minutes away and is easily accessed by car, bus or train.
