World-class Christian singer/song-writer, Michael Card is in the UK in October and the Highland town of Nairn is to be his only Scottish date.
by Howard Cockburn
Michael Card is due to give a concert in the new Nairn Community Centre which will be Michael's second visit to Nairn. The last time he played there was twelve years ago. Many people who came to that concert still remember what a superb event it was and are looking forward to this year's visit.
The concert is being hosted by Nairn Baptist Church. Their pastor, Rev. Tim Power, said:
"This is a great opportunity for people around the Highlands to hear one of the biggest names in Christian music in the USA perform live in Scotland. Our church meets every Sunday in the Community Centre so we felt it would be a great venue for us to use for this very special event."
Nairn is an ever-more popular venue for high quality events and performances - from Tilda Swinton's hugely popular cinematic events to the annual Jazz Festival, and even a visit this September to the Community Centre from Ally Bain and Phil Cunningham.
