Thebandwithnoname: school outreach concerts

Outreach events are planned for Wick and Thurso with a Christian band who visited the Highlands in June 2009 as part of the Luis Palau Association's Highland Festival. As part of its 4Points Tour thebandwithnoname is due to play in Wick and Thurso.

The Band with No NameKenny Cormack who was much involved in the Highland Harvest outreach during the summer of 2009 writes:

I'd appreciate your prayers for two outreach concerts for the high school pupils of Wick & Thurso that are planned for the 18th and 19th of February.

We have the band named 'thebandwithnoname' back with us, who were here last June as part of the Luis Palau Highland Festival. They are an excellent band who are able to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a younger generation in a very relevant way.

At the end of the night their lead singer will share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the pupils and advertise all the Christian youth groups that are on locally should they want to learn more about Jesus Christ. We realise we can only do so much in putting on any outreach event, we need God's favour in every area of these outreaches. We pray that the concerts would be full of teenagers that the Holy Spirit would reveal Jesus to and that many would trust him for salvation.
Please pray for these events, they are a great opportunity to reach our young people in the county.

Thanks

Kenny

The band are performing as part of their '4 points tour' and have played throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. As well as touring they regularly appear on radio and satellite TV. Their concert venues vary from schools, theatres, prisons, nightclubs, churches and arenas to large open air festivals and even The Royal Albert hall.

Their music styles include nu metal, hip hop, rap, grime and crunk rock. The musicians are a Christian band who love life and share a very positive message of hope, faith and good news through their music and lyrics.

The two concerts which are free to the High School pupils in Wick and Thurso respectively are scheduled as follows:

Thurso - Thursday, 18 February 2010 and Wick - Friday, 19 February 2010

Doors open 7.00pm in both locations
