The Plain Man's Guide to a Complicated War

The mix of good guys and bad guys and how we define them is key to understanding the conflict in Syria and the IS Jihad in the area.

Just in case you don't know what's happening in the middle east....

Syrian ConflictPresident Assad (who is bad) is a nasty guy who got so nasty his people rebelled and the Rebels (who are good) started winning (Hurrah!).
But then some of the rebels turned a bit nasty and are now called Islamic State (who are definitely bad!) and some continued to support democracy (who are still good).

So the Americans (who are good) started bombing Islamic State (who are bad) and giving arms to the Syrian Rebels (who are good) so they could fight Assad (who is still bad) which was good.
By the way, there is a breakaway state in the north run by the Kurds who want to fight IS (which is a good thing) but the Turkish authorities think they are bad, so we have to say they are bad whilst secretly thinking they're good and giving them guns to fight IS (which is good) but that is another matter.

Getting back to Syria...

So President Putin (who is bad, cos he invaded Crimea and the Ukraine and killed lots of folks including that nice Russian man in London with polonium poisoned sushi) has decided to back Assad (who is still bad) by attacking IS (who are also bad) which is sort of a good thing?

But Putin (still bad) thinks the Syrian Rebels (who are good) are also bad, and so he bombs them too, much to the annoyance of the Americans (who are good) who are busy backing and arming the rebels (who are also good).

Now Iran (who used to be bad, but now they have agreed not to build any nuclear weapons and bomb Israel are now good) are going to provide ground troops to support Assad (still bad) as are the Russians (bad) who now have ground troops and aircraft in Syria.

So a Coalition of Assad (still bad) Putin (extra bad) and the Iranians (good, but in a bad sort of way) are going to attack IS (who are bad) which is a good thing, but also the Syrian Rebels (who are good) which is bad.

Now the British (obviously good, except that nice Mr Corbyn in the corduroy jacket, who is probably bad) and the Americans (also good) cannot attack Assad (still bad) for fear of upsetting Putin (bad) and Iran (good / bad) and now they have to accept that Assad might not be that bad after all compared to IS (who are super bad).

So Assad (bad) is now probably good, being better than IS (but let’s face it, drinking your own wee is better than IS so no real choice there) and since Putin and Iran are also fighting IS that may now make them Good. America (still Good) will find it hard to arm a group of rebels being attacked by the Russians for fear of upsetting Mr Putin (now good) and that nice mad Ayatollah in Iran (also Good) and so they may be forced to say that the Rebels are now Bad, or at the very least abandon them to their fate. This will lead most of them to flee to Turkey and on to Europe or join IS (still the only constantly bad group).

To Sunni Muslims, an attack by Shia Muslims (Assad and Iran) backed by Russians will be seen as something of a Holy War, and the ranks of IS will now be seen by the Sunnis as the only Jihadis fighting in the Holy War and hence many Muslims will now see IS as Good (Doh!.)

Sunni Muslims will also see the lack of action by Britain and America in support of their Sunni rebel brothers as something of a betrayal (mmm.might have a point.) and hence we will be seen as Bad.

So now we have America (now bad) and Britain (also bad) providing limited support to Sunni Rebels (bad) many of whom are looking to IS (Good / bad) for support against Assad (now good) who, along with Iran (also Good) and Putin (also, now, unbelievably, Good) are attempting to retake the country Assad used to run before all this started?

So, now you fully understand everything, all your questions are answered!!

I wasn't through...the OK button got in my way.

About Russia and Vladimir Putin... A few months ago I saw a picture of Putin on the internet and I had a sense from Holy Spirit that this was a man of whom Father God approved. Having never had my old churchie doctrines of the Ezekiel 38-39 wars challenged by Father I set about seeking understanding...how could a man (or nation) purported to be Gog/Magog and responsible for great destruction in Israel be approved of by God.

I won't claim to have an answer to that question but this I have learned...Putin refuses to co-operate with the NWO agenda. Jacob Rothschild has said that Putin has betrayed the NWO. I say good for Putin on that one. Putin has proven an enemy of the NWO and, since mainstream media is in the hands of NWO personnel they are intent on discrediting him in any manner possible.

Yeshua advised us to judge not by outward appearances but judge a righteous judgment, that is judge the spirit of the individual. To do that we need ample of Holy Spirit ourselves.

If you would like to know more about the NWO element and the driving forces therein search the phrase "Khazarian Mafia.

You could ask questions.

Well,super Bob,
I believe that God has Put-in charge Vladimir for His elective purposes. Putin is but only a puppet used by God (Putin doesn't know what he is doing-he is absolutely clueless, just like the rest of the world leaders) The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of waters, He turneth it whithersoever he will. Proverbs 21.1.
Though Putin, Obama, Cameron etc. are doing God's will perfectly, (unbeknown to them, that is) yet God WILL hold them to account for their actions; Woe unto the world because of offences! For it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! Matthew 18.7.
The Bible says the first Ezekiel war will not happen until early in the millennium.

I have to agree that all the world's leaders are puppets and Father is the puppeteer and His timing, through them, will be as He requires. And I do see Father's favor on Putin, at least for the moment. He may be doing nothing more holding things in check until the required time. I just get very tired of seeing the West slander him when their hands are dirtier than his. But it is all going to blow up violently and hopefully very soon; It is time for some REAL change.

As far as the Ezekiel wars I have no certainty as to when they happen but I could see your point. There is also, I am sure you know, a Gog/Magog conflict at the end of the seventh millennium. I do wonder if they are all the same event.

Bob,
The Bible teaches very clearly and unequivocally (so I believe!) that there are TWO Gog and Magog wars, one very early in the coming millennium and the other as you say at the very end of it.
The Ezekiel 38-39 war is totally distinct from the one described in Revelation 20. We read in Ezekiel 38.8 that Israel "dwells safely" in her land (securely RV) a people "brought back from the sword." So clearly, then Israel have been at 'peace' dwelling in "the land of unwalled villages...at rest...safely...dwelling without walls." (There's walls everywhere now?) Ezekiel 38.11. Ezekiel 39.12 informs us that the house of Israel shall be "seven months...burying of them" (that is Gog and his multitude). Verse 16 tells us "thus shall they cleanse the land."
The "seven months ...burying" and the cleansing of the land is obviously in preparation for the 1000 year reign!?" The "house of Israel" is hardly going to be spending this "seven months" cleansing and burying in the land, if Satan right at the very END (RV; finished, AV; expired) of the 1000 years to do his last and final revolt; which results in the "fire came down from God out of heaven" which "devoured them". Ezekiel 39.9-10 also informs us that the Israelites shall spend SEVEN YEARS burning the weapons of war! It is interesting that they seem to be made of wood, and that the hordes of Gog and Magog are on horseback. This post technological/manufacturing era being brought about by the previous Psalm 83/Armageddon/Valley of Jehoshaphat/great tribulation war? After the millennium runs its course, Satan is loosed again.to "deceive the nations" that is "Gog and Magog" (a general term for the nations) Rev 20.7-8.

Stratfor reports (16 Feb)...

Turkey is pushing for its coalition partners, including the United States, to take part in a joint ground operation in Syria, unnamed Turkish officials said Feb. 16, AFP and Reuters reported. There will not be a unilateral Turkish operation in Syria, one official said, but the fighting in the country will not end without ground troops. The reports come as Turkey entered its fourth day of shelling Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) targets near the Turkish border with Syria. For Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Russian-backed loyalist offensive in Syria brings Turkey's geopolitical imperatives to the fore.
