CHRISTIAN WORSHIP VENUE BOMBED From Pastor O.S.C
Hope you are fine and doing well, we are safe until now by the grace of our Lord.
I read on the news and received phone calls from believers from inside the country that a Guest-House (which was used as a worship place on Fridays) was attacked by a group suicide bombers in Karti 3 Kabul, and there are some brothers and sisters killed and injured.
The government authorities give different estimate of the causalities, but it is confirmed unofficially that 6-7 people are killed and 5-6 people are injured (Afghan and foreigners). It is really a sad news for the church in Afghanistan, so please pray for the protection of believers in Afghanistan.
SUDANESE WOMAN FACING DEATH
A Sudanese court gave a 27-year-old woman until Thursday to abandon her newly adopted Christian faith and return to Islam or face a death sentence, judicial sources said on Monday.
Mariam Yahya Ibrahim was charged with apostasy as well as adultery for marrying a Christian man, something prohibited for Muslim women to do...
BOKO HARAM RINGLEADER RADICALISED IN WELSH UNIVERSITY
A man accused of being a ringleader of Islamist group Boko Haram appears to have been radicalised while studying at university in South Wales.
Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche dubbed himself ‘The Lion of God’ and threatened to cut the hands and feet off non-believers while living in Britain.
It is believed the 29-year-old is in custody in Sudan after being arrested on suspicion of carrying out terror attacks in Nigeria which killed more than 90 people.
CONFERENCE ORGANISERS PULL CFI FROM EXHIBITION
The organisers of the Christian 5-day Momentum conference have, at very short notice, cancelled the exhibition space which had been offered to Christian Friends of Israel at the August 22-26 event.
CFI have issued the following reponse:
CFI-UK is shocked and saddened to learn that Momentum have, at very short notice, cancelled our exhibition space at their event from August 22nd to 26th 2014.
Momentum - a summer conference for 20s and 30s organised by Soul Survivor - had previously accepted our application, but following the conflict between Israel and the Hamas terrorists in Gaza they have withdrawn it.
In an email to CFI-UK, a representative from Momentum writes, "we do not want to give an impression that we are on a particular side" or "stir up any controversy among delegates".
We apologise to our supporters who were looking forward to seeing us at the event.
CFI-UK is concerned that Momentum's decision sends a negative message to our friends and colleagues in Israel, many of whom are involved in humanitarian projects. We strongly believe that the Middle East is an important area for Christians to be informed about. In seeking to attend the event our hope was to provide educational materials which help Christians understand Israel in its full historical and Biblical context.
As an organisation we are committed to praying for the peace of Jerusalem as instructed in the Psalms. We strongly disagree with Momentum's concern that our presence at the event would in any way "stir up controversy". Our desire is to be factual and objective. We aim to be Biblically sound and faithful to God and Jesus the Messiah in all we do.
CFI-UK was pleased to have been able to attend Momentum as an exhibitor last year. We hope that in the future political events in the Middle East will not prevent Momentum from allowing us to exhibit at their event. Christians in the Middle East are in desperate need of our support - especially in these tense times of conflict.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our supporters for their generosity. Their giving has allowed CFI-UK to successfully exhibit at both New Wine Weeks, and other events throughout 2014.
Momentum have refunded part of the costs CFI-UK out-laid in order to attend the event and made it clear that their decision for this year’s event is final. While we are disappointed at their ruling, we wish all who attend Momentum a very happy, enjoyable and spiritually fulfilling week. CFI-UK hopes that we can return next year.
ISLAMIC STATE "WAR" AGAINST DENMARK
a 27 year-old Danish citizen has stated:
“Denmark is not my country. The Muslims’ country is the caliphate and inshallah there will soon be an attack here. Denmark should prepare itself. It is an open war now.
ISIS has said that all infidels should be battled. They should be eliminated and soon it will be Denmark’s turn.”
Yet again we see a Muslim from a Western country not only reject all identification with that country, but count it as an enemy. Yet any discussion of the Islamic concept of loyalty to the umma and what it means vis-a-vis citizenship in non-Muslim states is not permitted; it would be “Islamophobic.”
HAMAS DEEMED NO LONGER A TERRORIST GROUP
The General Court of the European Union has annulled the bloc's decision to keep the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on a list of terrorist groups.
The decision had been based not on an examination of Hamas' actions, but on "factual imputations derived from the press and the internet", judges found.
But a funding freeze from being blacklisted will continue for three months or until an appeal is closed.
Hamas dominates Gaza and fought a 50-day war with Israel in the summer.
The group is also designated a terrorist organisation by Israel, the United States and several other nations due to its long record of attacks and its refusal to renounce violence.
Under its charter, Hamas is committed to the destruction of Israel.
But to its supporters it is seen as a legitimate resistance movement.

CHRISTIANS AND CHURCHES ATTACKED IN THE WEST
The Muslim persecution of Christians in September started making prominent appearances not just in the Islamic world, but also in the West—in America, Australia and Europe.
An open letter to the French President from a Palestinian journalist in Ramallah (14 Jan. 2014)
>>>> quote >>>>
Your Excellency, many Palestinians nearly fell off their chairs upon seeing their president march at the front row of a rally in your capital to protest against terrorism and assaults on freedom of the media.
Undoubtedly, you are unaware of the fact that President Abbas is personally responsible for punishing Palestinian journalists who dare to criticize him or express their views in public. Every day we see that the Western media, including French newspapers and magazines, does not care about such violations unless they are committed by Israel.
Your Excellency, you are completely mistaken if you believe that Abbas and his Palestinian Authority are tolerant toward satire or any form of criticism. While he was attending the rally, a human rights group published a report accusing the Palestinian Authority of "waging war" against university students in the West Bank.
President Abbas has managed once again to deceive you and the rest of the international community. He now has managed to create the false impression that he cares about freedom of speech and independent journalism
Palestinians like me will now pay a heaver price because Abbas has been emboldened and will now step up his assaults. France will be helping to establish another corrupt and repressive Arab dictatorship -- one that glorifies and rewards terrorists no different from those who carried out the Paris attacks.
I hope now your Excellency understands why I am too scared to reveal my identity.

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
From the head of an international Christian agency (names are omitted for security reasons - Ed):-
We lost the city of Queragosh. It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food to. ISIS has pushed back Kurdish Forces, and is within 10 minutes of where our [name of organisation] team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated its staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!!!.
Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of people of northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians in this area.
May I plead with you not to ignore this [call for prayer]? Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible.
Send it to friends and Christians you know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastors. Any one you can think of. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians
BOMB BLASTS IN PAKISTANI CHURCHES
Report quotes perpetrators:
""We promise that until an Islamic system is put into place in Pakistan such attacks will continue. If Pakistan's rulers think they can stop us, they should try to do so."
Ed footnote: These attacks are receiving high-profile converage in much of the international media; but we are not finding these reports being carried in any significant way in the UK media.
